Stotramala Audio by Swami Brahmananda

Dear Friends,

Namaste. Hari Om.

I had the opportunity to hear Swami Brahmananda ji’s rendition of Vedic chants – Taittiriya Upanishad, Purusha Suktam in his “Vedic Chants” CD. I am simply thrilled by his voice. I am a little picky about the audio, as I look for an intensity of Bhava in the rendition and its ability to elicit devotion and sublime thoughts in me. Swami Brahmananda (of Chinmaya Mission) has such voice – firm, melodious and deeply spiritual.

At a later point of time, I came across his audio rendition of Stotras – Ganga Stotra, Siva Manasa Puja, Meenakshi Stotram, Dakshinamurthi Stotram, Brahmanubhuti and other stotras on http://www.archive.org under the community audio section. I hear them very often, and listening to them makes me very happy and very uplifting.

Click the below Links to go to the pages where you can hear these renditions. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

Best Wishes,
Yours, In Service of the Lord,
Aparna & Hari

Gold-Mine of Divine Name

Dear All,

Harihi Om.

We have a Gurudwar in our city. We go there sometimes on wednesdays or on sundays. The Bhajans are so melodious and they are followed by a discourse in Punjabi. Being well versed in Hindi, we are able to grasp a little of the wonderful Bhajans. The Divine Name is extolled immensely in these bhajans and one should listen to them to understand the depth and sublime meaning. First time I heard these bhajans, I was transported into a different realm altogether ! Recently I again went, and I was motivated to learn Gurumukhi (I can read now, will need to practice), and I was googling for a compilation of some of the bhajans, when I hit upon a treasure-trove or a Gold-mine of these bhajans – Gurumukhi with Phonetic transliteration and english translation – all in one book. I could not ask for better. I then went into Sikh Sangeet website and listened to some of the most wonderful bhajans on the Divine Name.

Please click on the following image to download the Gurbani Kirtan, which are composed by Gurus (Guru Nanak, Guru Arjun Dev, Guru Nyam Dev et al) and refer to it for increasing your Sadhana of Divine Name. (Please be careful if you want to have a printed copy – The printed copy should be venerated like Sri Guru Granth Sahib and kept in prayer room).

Listen to one sample song – Ram Simar Ram Simar ihai tera kaj hai (Lyrics are found on Page# 3683 of this document):

Hanuman Chalisa by Sri Avadhutendra Swamiji

Dear All,

Hari Om !

I posted about Pujya Sri Avadhutendra Swamiji yesterday. I am posting the Hanuman Chalisa audio in his voice. It is very nice. Being greatly influenced by Sri Pabhudatta Brahmachariji who is one of the Gurus of Avadhutendra Swamiji, he propagated chanting of Hanuman Chalisa and also erected many Hanuman temples during his time.

Please see the below video for his Hanuman Chalisa:

UPLOADED !! Text of Vishnu Sahasra Namavali

Dear All,

Hari Om !

We have finally completed the project of creating a PDF book of Vishnu Sahasra Namavali along with their English meanings.

Vishnu Sahasra Nama is the most commonly recited Stotram in India. These One Thousand Divine Names of Lord Sri Maha Vishnu or the Sahasra Namavali appear as part of conversation between the Grandsire Bhishma and King Yudhistira. While working on this project, we have learnt a lot about the Divine Names of Lord Vishnu which till now during recitation, we did not much know about. For the English meanings, we have referred to several sources, and then penned down what we thought was more close to the correct description of the meaning.

Please download this Vishnu Sahasra Namavali PDF book here or alternately, you can go to the DOWNLOADS section and download it.

UPDATE in 2012:
Audio of Vishnu Sahasra Namavali has been uploaded in Feb 2012. Please click here to go to the page with audio link:
